Lana Anderson is an Arts and Science student at U of G who will be entering into her third year when she returns in September. She is also the second person to win a lifetime fitness membership to the New Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre, thanks to a tweet she sent back in March using the hashtag #GryphonsAC.
In her tweet, Lana explained what she was most excited about with the new AC, and referenced the lineups for machines and congestion in the change rooms - both issues that will soon be a thing of the past!
The current fitness centre at U of G is roughly 5,000 square feet. The fitness centre at the New Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre is over four times larger coming in at 22,000 square feet! Three brand new change rooms also await users, with a new men's locker room, a new women's locker room, as well as a new universal change room, giving our users a new, fresh space for before and after workouts!
Lana is currently back home in her hometown of Sioux Lookout (northwest of Thunder Bay, close to the Manitoba border), but when she comes back to U of G this fall, she certainly won't have to worry about any of the issues mentioned in her tweets!
A new lifetime membership winner is drawn each month. All posts, regardless of when they were posted, will be considered as a new winner is selected each month. For those who haven't already taken part in the contest, simply use the hashtag #GryphonsAC on Instagram or Twitter and tell us what you're most excited about in the new AC and you'll be automatically entered!
